RCMI International Symposium on Health Disparities
November 12-15, 2000
San Juan, Puerto Rico

Dear Colleague:

The Seventh Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI) International Symposium is scheduled for November 12-15, 2000, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The site for the Symposium is the Ritz-Carlton, San Juan Hotel, Spa and Casino.

The University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences and Rio Piedras Campuses will serve as the host institutions in collaboration with Morehouse School of Medicine. Drs. Osvaldo Rosario and Emma Fernández-Repollet will serve as the local coordinators for this year's Symposium.

You and your colleagues are cordially invited to attend the Symposium. The format of this year's Symposium has been expanded to include the following disciplines:

Cancer Neuroscience Diabetes Research Informatics

Cardiovascular/Pharmacological Studies Biochemistry/Molecular Genetics Behavioral Studies/Infectious Disease/HIV/AIDS

Plenary and Scientific Sessions on these topics will give researchers opportunities to share their latest research findings. Research papers and posters are invited for presentation in these areas. You are invited to submit an abstract of your research by June 15, 2000. Exhibits of your institution or agency are welcomed.

The Symposium includes workshops that will feature the most recent advances in biotechnology and biomedical instrumentation and techniques.
