I encourage you to play an active part in this year’s meeting by submitting your scientific abstracts for peer review. Oral scientific presentations, poster sessions, and published abstracts are key components of our meeting and provide an opportunity to participate in the cutting edge of clinical and basic science research.

This year, I am pleased to announce that you will be able to submit your abstracts electronically through the Internet. The option for electronic submission offers many benefits, and I am confident that you will find it convenient and easy to use. I encourage you to take advantage of this new feature.

The 2000 Program Committee is working to bring you an exciting and broadly representative scientific program. There will be a Keynote Speaker, Workshops, and General Sessions in the areas of:

  • Cancer
  • Neuroscience
  • Diabetes
  • Cardiovascular/Pharmacological Studies
  • Biochemistry/Molecular Genetics
  • Behavioral Studies/Infectious Disease/HIV/AIDS

The meeting will be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which is located in the heart of the tourist district just steps away from spectacular beaches, exciting nightlife, and shopping. This is an ideal spot to relax after stimulating scientific sessions.
